the Story of the World: Strangers, Saints, and the Dutch

Sometimes students need to have their history read to them!

As a homeschool mom, I have noticed that my younger two retain more information if they also listen to the text being read to them rather than just read the text alone.

I don't claim to be the best storyteller nor the best pronouncer of words! I just wanted to put this out there for other students who may find it helpful, like my sons do.

The topic for this chapter is the Separatists leaving England (twice, by the way!), settling New England, and the Dutch settling New Amsterdam, which we all know better as....wait for it...New York City!
